Air Conditioner Repair & Installation

RV air conditioner repair for Florida-hot days

A failed rooftop AC turns an RV into an oven in a hurry.

Weathered RV roof with AC unit and vents before re-sealing at a Plant City RV park

A failed rooftop AC turns an RV into an oven in a hurry. We diagnose whether the problem is the unit itself, the thermostat, a capacitor, the control board or the power reaching it, then repair or replace it and re-seal the roof opening so the new unit does not become a new leak.

What our RV AC repair covers

AC diagnosisElectrical checks of capacitors, fan motors, compressors, thermostats and control boards.
Rooftop unit replacementOld roof air units removed and new units installed, wired and sealed.
Ducted & non-ducted systemsAirflow, ceiling assembly and thermostat problems tracked down and fixed.
Power issuesLow voltage, tripped breakers and shore-power faults that keep the AC from running.

Signs you need RV AC repair

  • The AC runs but blows warm air
  • The compressor clicks, hums or will not start
  • Breakers trip when the AC kicks on
  • Water dripping from the ceiling assembly

How we work

Every job starts with a proper diagnosis. We find the actual cause, explain what we found and what it will take to fix, and only then start the repair. Most work is done at our shop at 5745 S County Rd 39, Ste 3 in Plant City, and mobile service is available around the area when the schedule allows. Call to check current availability.

Common questions

Should I repair or replace my RV air conditioner?

It depends on the age of the unit and what failed. A capacitor or fan motor is usually worth repairing; a failed compressor on an older unit often is not. We explain the options and costs before any work starts.

Do you install new rooftop AC units?

Yes. We remove the old unit, install the new one, connect it and seal the roof opening properly.

Good Morning. I drag my 35ft Classic Airstream from California to Northern Canada (Ft McMurray) to Orlando, Florida. Some of the roads are not nice. So stuff breaks on my trailer. The broken stuff I save up for Jesse and Randall. So nice when they are happy to work on my Air Conditioning, my door that locks me in or my hot water heater that does not make hot water. Will be saving up more broken stuff for the next time in Lakeland, Florida. Have a nice Day.

I must say this has been one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had involving a mobile tech service on my RV! I tried calling other local businesses and none were able to respond. One call to bumblebee mobile RV repair and I immediately got in contact with Randall. I described my issue and he automatically knew what happened. Made an appointment and he arrived literally to the minute on time. He quickly diagnosed my AC issue and thank goodness I did not need a whole new unit. I was so happy I had him work on my refrigerator which was properly diagnosed with a bad thermostat and for the heck of it I had him flush my water heater. I can’t begin to express how satisfied I am with this companies service. Bumblebee mobile RV repair has made a customer for life. The technician never tried to upsell me or to perform a service that was unnecessary. This type of honesty is so rare and few and far in between thanks again, Randall I’m sure I’ll be seeing you soon sincerely, 1 happy travel trailer owner

I am very, very impressed and pleased with the service and repairs to my 5th wheel. My roof air broke and had to be replaced. They ordered it and installed it in a timely manner considering the situation. I was treated like family. They went over and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They are a great team, very professional and informative. Quality of work is outstanding. They are my first line of defense. I would refer them to anyone hands down. 5 STARS.

Courteous, friendly, and service with a smile. Jessie and her crew were already on site for other calls. I flagged her down to ask a question. She diagnosed and fixed the issue with one of my A/C units. While there she answered every question I had and taught me how to do maintenance on my unit. Highly recommend this company for your RV needs. Two thumbs up!!

Superb service! Jessie and Randal happen to be at the RV Park (with kids and dog in tow) on their day off; however, they still swung by to check my RV’s sick A/C unit. Jessie quickly diagnosed and recommended a plan of action. This great couple is polite, professional, hard working, and honest. Thanks Jessie and Randal! I have your business card and will call you again for my RV’s maintenance needs. Commander John Hurst (Ret)
